HALL / STAGE KITCHEN HALL / BAR SNOOKER ROOM

(a) Location - The Hall is situated opposite the Village Green on the High Street (B6045)
in Blyth, 6 miles north of Worksop and is easily accessible from the adjacent A1 (M) at
the “Blyth roundabout”. Post code S81 8EW.


(b) Description of facilities - the Hall was largely refurbished in 2004/5, has a full
Premises licence and comprises:
(i) Ground floor: Large Main Hall and stage accommodating up to 200 persons depending upon the type of function.
Meeting room to seat up to 40 persons.
Large modern kitchen (use is included in hire charge)
Two good size Reception Areas
Bar (only available by arrangement for functions)
Toilet and Cloakroom facilities
(ii) First Floor (not suitable for access by some disabled persons)
Snooker Room with two full size tables and equipment.
Meeting Room (with small kitchen) accommodating 20- 30 persons


REGULAR USER GROUPS OPEN TO PUBLIC AS AT 1 JANUARY 2009

Blyth Pre-School have Daily Morning and Afternoon sessions in their own room with outside play facilities. Blyth Players Drama Group usually hold a 5/6 performance Pantomime and have two other 3 performance productions during the year. Rehearsals are also held at the hall - usually on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and on Sunday afternoons for the Pantomime.

WEEKDAY HALL HIRE RATES EFFECTIVE 1ST APRIL 2009

MAIN HALL

Before 6pm - £6.60 per hour

After 6pm -   £9.00 per hour

BACK ROOM & COMMITTEE ROOM

Before 6pm - £5.30 per hour

After 6pm - £6.70 per hour

SNOOKER & BILLIARDS

At all times - £5.60 per hour

Hourly rates include use of kitchen for tea/coffee making, and stage for users od Main Hall


Because the Hall is financially supported by residents of Blyth Parish an increased charge applies to non-residents.

The following different rates apply for hire of the Barnby Memorial Hall facilities for Wedding Receptions, Discos, Birthday Parties, Seminars, Conferences etc. Equipment (tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery etc) is also available for hire for use off the premises.

HIRE CHARGE RATES FOR SPECIAL EVENTS - With effect from 1st April 2009

MAIN HALL

Evening Disco, Wedding Reception etc. - £150.00***

Casino Night/Quiz Night                      - £100.00***

Afternoon and evening Wedding Reception - £225.00***

All Childrens Parties -                         - £9.00 per hour

There is an additional charge of £15.00 for each event which occasions the Caretaker attanding after midnight where there is no bar: See below for an additioial charge when the bar closes after 11pm.

Afternoon Dances (no bar)                  - £90.00

Christenings and other weekend afternoon events without bar - Twice hourly rate but with discretionary shading

Conferences/Seminars                        - Full day 0900 - 1700...£150.00 (Summer - no bar)

                                                        - Half day 0900 - 1300 or 1300 - 1700...£85.00

Back Room                                        - Half Day - £70.00.  Full Day - £100.00

Rates include use of kitchen for tea/coffee making etc.

***  When a bar is required rates are increased by:

£10.00 for bar up to 11pm (function ends at 1130pm or midnight)...£160.00

£15.00 for bar up to 1130pm      -do-          midnight.....................£165.00

£20.00 for bar up to 12 midnight (function ends at 1.00am).............£170.00

£25.00 for bar up to 1230am          -do-                           .............£175.00

The Secretary has discretion to negotiate charges for events which do not fall exactly into the above categories and when (1) hourly rates are not appropriate (2) when extensive use is made of the kitchen facilities (usually when outside caterers are used) (3) when substantial waste is created and not removed (4) allowing "clear-up" on the day following an event (subject to agreement with the Caretaker and ensuring that next day users are not inconvenienced.

The Secretary has discretion to amend the above charges.

BAR

All seervices must be provided by the Bar Stweard and only alcohol provided by him/her is permitted to be served oo the premises with the follwinf (rare) exceptions:

(1) Wine which is supplied by the event organiser (by arrangement with the Secretary) and is subject to a minimum corcage charge of £2.00 per bottle or £4.00 per box.

(2)  Welcoming drink/drink for toast - no additional charge for either BUT if both required ONE WILL BE CHARGED.
